Administrative Internship Position Summary:
We’re looking for someone to fill the administrative internship role who is organized, inquisitive, and compassionate. This individual will help us with the daily tasks of running a successful small private counseling practice while gaining invaluable administrative experience. The administrative intern should be comfortable interacting with a wide array of people – inquiring patients, current clients, therapists, insurance companies, etc. We prefer college student candidates with communications, psychology, community health, or business backgrounds.
The Administrative Intern will assist our Administrative Team in various ways, including:
- Making daily appointment reminder phone calls to patients
- Scheduling therapy sessions
- Maintaining and updating patient files
- Filing billing documents
Administrative Internship Basic Qualifications:
These are the minimum qualifications you need to be considered for the Administrative Internship Position:
- Proven sensitivity to mental health related issues and ability to handle confidential information
- Experience in a professional office setting tending to company phones
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

- This is an unpaid internship but we are willing to work with you and your college to gain college credit status.
- Time Commitment: 8 hours a week minimum; hours are flexible and may include some telecommuting
- Expected Start Date: September
- Duration: 3 or 6 month commitment
