Using Art and Expressive Therapy to Heal the Heart

At The Heart and Hand Center we believe that true healing comes through the heart, rather than just the head.  We serve as a full service counseling and therapy center in Bozeman, Montana, and specialize in Art Therapy, Equine Therapy and other effective modalities that can accompany or substitute traditional therapy approaches.  Our center truly is a destination for those of all ages, seeking to heal the hurts of life, whether you’re 2, 80 or older.

When life has us feeling off center and things aren’t easy, it is usually because of having some deep underlying pain or trauma that keeps us feeling trapped, unsafe and unhappy with where we are in life.  Often these wounds lie in the unconscious realm of the subconscious mind and have great impact on our lives and behaviors, without us even knowing what’s causing us to feel and act the way we are.  Sadly, this often happens to young children who have been abused and this can carry through one’s whole life if never addressed and cause many ramifications that decrease our quality of life, vibrancy and internal power.

The good news is that there is hope, there is an answer to heal through the wounds that have happened to us in life, even if it has been many years later.  It is never too late to be able to heal past emotional wounds.  By going into the subconscious mind and allowing ourselves to feel free, happy and safe, we can begin to pull up past pain or traumas that have happened to us and heal through them by creating an expressive environment that taps into our heart, our emotional center and allows us to feel a security and freedom to let out what has been locked inside.

The catharsis that takes place when we are able to tap into our core hurts can be profound and really make a difference in our level of self-confidence and ability to trust and connect with those around us, thus creating a more full, vibrant existence that makes us happy.

If you would like to contact us to see if we might be able to help with where you are in life, we offer a free initial 30 minute consultation.  This allows us to see where you’re at and if we might be a good fit and be able to help.  We work with many health insurances and also will work on a sliding fee scale for those who are uninsured or not covered through their plans.
